Ana John

With over 16 years in music, Ana John is a Brazilian DJ based in Portugal, music producer and sound designer with an international career spanning Brazil, Portugal, Italy, France, Malta, the United States, Mexico and Uruguay. She has opened shows for Killer on the Dance Floor, Ivete Sangalo, Caetano Veloso, Lulu Santos, Preta Gil, Jota Quest, Skank and Titãs, and performed at Rock in Rio, SPFW, Paris Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week and Lisbon Fashion Week.

Her sound moves between House, Brazilian, Latin, Jazz and Bossa, with residencies at Café del Mar Malta and JNcQUOI Lisbon. As a producer, she has released original tracks including “Menino Mulato", Oriente”, “Sherlok” and “Sunset Sax”, as well as creating music for major brands, fashion shows and international projects. She has performed at major cultural and sporting events, including the Paraty Literary Festival (FLIP), Curitiba Theater Festival, Walter Moreira Salles Award, São Paulo Biennial of Art, International Film Festival, Auslander Festival, São Paulo Auto Show, Stock Car, Copa América, Miss Universe and Audi Concept.

Her work with Itaú included producing the soundtrack for the brand’s Rock in Rio activation and music curation for the Rock in Rio Musical. In 2013, she created the soundtrack for the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Latin America, held at the Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro — the initiative’s first edition in Latin America. She was also the official DJ of the Devassa VIP Carnival Lounge in Rio de Janeiro for five years, alongside projects for Carnaval Terra, Carnaval Itaú and Caras Sapucaí.
